APowerCap Technologies Inc. (APCT) was the only ultracapacitor development company presented at the Dow Jones Alternative Energy Innovations Conference. Over 60 pre-selected companies delivered their presentations to the representatives of over 40 venture investors focused on new technologies and greentech sector investments.
APCT participated in the battery/storage section of the Conference with such companies, as: CyVolt energy Systems, Principle Power, Planar Energy Devices, Coulomb Technologies and Hyperion Power Generation. The other sections were: biofuels, energy management, fuel cells, lighting, wind and water.
Alex Shnaydruk, VP of New Business Development at APCT, presented latest highlights of the company product development. Among them was: KERS (Kinetic Energy Recuperation System), a development project for racing cars and overall automotive industry; participation in a joint components development with one of the most prominent European suppliers for automotive market; joint R&D work in the consumer electronics sector with the U.S. partner; joint battery systems development for electric bykes (E-Bykes) with a local company based in India. Alex also unveiled company plans to develop ultracapacitor cells and modules for high-end and special markets which require high tolerance in extreme conditions (low or high temperatures and extended life cycle).
«Leading experts and investors at the conference confirmed that ultracapacitors and new battery technologies are in the focus of new alternative energy industry today. For example, Elon Musk (Chairman and Product Architect of Tesla Motors), said that if he was an investor today, he would invest in cells company», said Alex Shnaydruk.
