Yuriy Maletin, CTO of APowerCap Technologies Inc., led kinetics and catalysis section of the Second Ukrainian Science Conference on Chemistry and Chemistry technology.
The conference, which attracted young scientists from leading technical universities of Ukraine, took place at the leading Ukrainian technical university “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” on 24-28 May 2007. The conference covered problems of scientific research in the following areas: fundamental problems of new materials and technologies, kinetics and catalysis, composite materials, as well as environmental problems of chemical technologies.
“I am very glad that Ukraine has a lot of young bright minds in Chemistry technologies. This years’ kinetics and catalysis section had interesting reports concerning fuel cells research. Fuel cells have very high energy density, and used together with ultracapacitors represent very promising pair which can be used a variety of industrial, electronics and transportation applications”, said Yuriy Maletin.
Reports at the panel were made by young scientists and future Ph.D.s from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry, Institute of Bio-organic and Oil Chemistry etc.
